I am one of the few people who chose to move FROM Newport Beach in Orange County TO the middle of almond farmland in Northern California, to a town most people have not heard of. Ah, the things we do for love.
In any case, even though a good Nordstrom is now over an hour and a half away, I still love shopping and dressing up and am somehow balancing my characteristics my husband considers prissy with my new hometown. Hence the name, High Heels and Almond Fields. I have both going on in my life now.
My husband and I are nesting, decorating, traveling and generally having fun and I couldn’t be happier. So I decided to document our adventures, excitements and moments that make us laugh.
I love writing but putting it out here on the internet makes me nervous. I decided I wanted to try to post something every day, even if my life is sometimes mundane (hey, you can choose not to read it! 
). I simultaneously hope lots of people read this blog and nobody reads it. So here it goes.
