Family Fair

This past weekend Mark had a booth at a Family Fair in Ripon. It was such a blast to see people check out the things he has been working on and appreciate his creativity.

They made a mistake and put that “Mark and Andrea Ziesel” were going to be there but they should have known that there is absolutely no way I could make any of that stuff. I manned the printer and tied the price tags on. And did a darn good job!

Anyway, Mark did a great job setting everything up and people seemed to love his craftsmanship.

Friends & Wine

This past weekend one of my good friends made it up to Northern California for a visit. After days of posting funny high school pictures on Facebook, Heather and her husband Chris came to visit Ripon and then continue on to Oregon to see our friend Amanda. We figured what better activity than a little Lodi wine tasting. We had such a blast and are so glad they came to visit – now to plan our visit down south!

We had so much fun with these two!

This is blurry, but we found this water called “Wat-ahh!” It was awesome!

Thank you for the Wine

A few weekends ago we had an open house party. We really just wanted to have a party. I thought we would have been ready in time for a Halloween party. But turns out it takes longer to fix up a house than you may think! So We were finally ready to have a party in January.

I got super nervous and worried nobody would show up, but show up they did! And on top of that, our guests were unnecessarily super generous with their gifts. And the gift of choice was wine. Even though we opened a few bottles at the party, I have been running around throwing the wine in various wine holders throughout the house. But we still have a stash sitting on top of the counter.

I think the lesson here is that all open house parties should be followed up by a secondary wine party so all of our guests can come back again. Maybe that was the idea all along…

An Impromptu Wine Weekend

Mark and I decided late last week that we were going to take an impromptu mini-vacation. So off we went on Saturday morning to Napa for a bit of wine tasting and fun. We went to a new winery for us in Napa and then took a crazy road over to Sonoma for a few of our favorites. We had such a great time with just the two of us and it was so nice to get away.
